Jayhawk Tennis Center to Host 2014 ITA Summer Circuit

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Members of the Kansas women’s tennis team will compete with other college and high school athletes in the 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Summer Circuit this weekend, July 18-20, at the Jayhawk Tennis Center.
 
Letterwinner Caroline Henderson is the only returning tennis player competing in the tournament, but this will also serve as the first opportunity for the 2014 recruiting class to represent KU. Newcomers Jasmine Almaguer, Rachel McNeely, Melinda Johnson, Smith Hinton, Alexis Czapinski, Madison Harrison, and Summer Collins will compete.

Lawrence is the third stop in the Central region of the circuit. The ITA Summer Circuit consists of four open tournaments played in each of the nine regions, concluding with the ITA/USTA National Summer Championships held August 9-12.
