Freshman Season (2013-14):All-Big 12 Honorable Mention… One of two Jayhawks to start all 35 games in 2013-14 (Andrew Wiggins)… Ranked 10th in three-point field goal percentage in conference-only play (34.6)… Finished the season fifth all-time among KU freshmen with 1,022 minutes played… Led KU in steals nine times and in assists seven times … Totaled 23 points at the Big 12 Championship with 14 points against Oklahoma State (3/13) and nine points against Iowa State (3/14)… Dished out a career-high seven assists vs. Texas (2/22)… Tallied a career-high 24 points at Oklahoma (1/8); including a KU season-high five threes… Next game, Selden dropped 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting against Kansas State (1/11); including three three-pointers and three assists… The back-to-back efforts earned him: the Wayman Tisdale National Freshman of the Week (1.14.14),  Athlon Sports National Freshman of the Week (1.13.14), Big 12 Newcomer of the Week (1.13.14) and Dick Vitale’s Diaper Dandy of the Week (1.13.14)… Totaled 15 points and four assists in the Champions Classic against Duke (11/12)… Shot 50 percent or better in 16 games… Scored 20+ points three times.

Tilton School [N.H.]: A five-star player ranked No. 14 on the ESPN 100 and No. 12 by Rivals.com… KU’s 33rd player all-time to earn McDonald’s All-America accolades… Was the East team’s second-leading scorer in the McDonald’s All-American game, going 5-for-7 from the field, 2-for-4 from three-point range, for 13 points with five rebounds and three assists… Also selected to participate in the Jordan Brand Classic game… Averaged 24.8 points, 10.1 rebounds and four assists during his senior year at Tilton School under coach Marcus O’Neil… As a freshman, he was a member of the Tilton boys’ basketball team that won its fourth-consecutive New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Championship… Followed that with an appearance in the NEPSAC AA finals during his sophomore season… Very successful on the club circuit with the acclaimed AAU Boston Amateur Basketball Club… Joined Notre Dame Prep’s Jaylen Brantley, Maryland’s Jaye Layman, Iowa State’s Georges Niang and Kentucky’s Nerlens Noel to help the program capture Nike’s highly-competitive Elite Youth Basketball League title in 2011… Also a teammate of Noel’s at Tilton in 2011, the pair helped lead the Rams go 25-6 and reach the NEPSAC Class AA title game… Attended O’Bryant High School in Roxbury, Mass., as a freshman before transferring to Tilton.
