2012-13 (Junior): 2013 Conference USA All-Academic team… Received Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal… Academic All-Big 12 First Team… Finished fourth in the 1V8 Grand Final at the Conference USA Championships… Second Team All-Big 12… Third-place finish in the 1V8 at the Lake Natoma Invite… Finished sixth in the 1V8 Petite Final at the Knecht Cup… 1V8 came in second at the Indiana and Georgetown Regatta… Defeated Kansas State in the 1V8 at the Sunflower Showdown… 1V8 finished behind Dayton to claim second place at the Louisville Invite… Finished first  in the 1V8 at the Oklahoma Invite… Ninth-place finish  in 5,000 meter 1V8 race at the Head of the Hooch.

2011-12 (Sophomore): Conference USA All-Academic team… Part of the Collegiate Eight 500M petite third-place boat at the Head of Oklahoma.

2010-11 (Freshman): Member of the 1N8 for the entire spring season… Helped defeat Kansas State in the Kansas Cup… Second-place finish at the Big 12 Championships… Finished second in the Grand Final at the Conference USA Championships.

High School: Two-time State Champion in powerlifting at Wamego HS… Set 4A state records in squat, clean and total weight… Four-year letterwinner in track and lettered two years in tennis… Named tennis team’s Most Improved Player in 2008… School’s valedictorian… Member of the National Honor Society… Named a Kansas Honors Scholar and a Kansas Governor’s Scholar… All-State Academic Team Honorable Mention.

Personal: Daughter of Kathleen and Eugene Scherer… Has two siblings, Julie and Matthew… Majoring in exercise science/pre-physical therapy with a minor in psychology.
