A busy summer schedule for KU track and field athletes competing internationally continues this weekend as Crystal Manning and Jordan Scott take to Toluca, Mexico, for the 2008 NACAC Under-23 Track & Field Championships July 18-20. Manning, who just completed her senior season for KU, and junior-to-be Scott will represent Team USA, whose roster was announced Wednesday by USA Track & Field. (more)

Former Kansas Relays meet director Tim Weaver, a manager on international track and field teams for five years, has been selected for that same role on the United States team staff for the 2008 Olympic Games next month in Beijing, China. The Olympic staff is made up of coaches and managers, and Weaver will be one of the managers that will help both the men's and women's track teams get ready for competition in Beijing. (more)
