KANSAS IS 10-1 ALL-TIME ON NOVEMBER 19; 6-0 UNDER HEAD COACH BILL SELF
November 19, 1993: On the back of 20 points from senior Richard Scott, No. 9 Kansas defeated No. 6 California, 73-56, in the second round of the Preseason NIT tournament in Allen Fieldhouse. The Jayhawks were also led by a Greg Ostertag double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, the first double-double of Ostertag’s KU career. Kansas won the 1993 Preseason NIT defeating No. 10 Minnesota in the semifinals and No. 18 UMass in the championship game. Kansas went on to have a final record of 27-8, marking the fifth-straight year the Jayhawks had won at least 27 games.
