The Jayhawks opened the 2013-14 regular season with an 80-63 win against Louisiana Monroe in Allen Fieldhouse. Freshman Andrew Wiggins led KU with 16 points, while Perry Ellis and Andrew White III scored 12 each. Ellis led all rebounders with eight boards while senior Tarik Black pulled down seven and scored eight points. The victory was Kansas’ 700th in Allen Fieldhouse and the Jayhawks’ 41st consecutive home-opening win. Kansas would go on to post a 25-10 record in 2013-14 and finish first in the Big 12 regular season with a 14-4 record.
