KU’s defense has been outstanding, forcing a pair of turnovers, which have set up two of its scores. In addition to Talib, freshman cornerback Chris Harris had a second quarter interception that set up a Scott Webb field goal.

Reesing is 13-of-20 for 121 yards and a touchdown in the first half, while sophomore Jake Sharp leads the way in the receiving corps with three catches for 24 yards. Seven different Jayhawks have caught passes. On the ground, Sharp and senior Brandon McAnderson have combined for 36 yards on 11 carries.

KU’s 17 first half points are the most surrendered by the Hokies’ defense since they gave up 24 to LSU on Sept. 8 of this season.
