Jan. 19, 2006

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

The University of Kansas baseball team recorded a program-best 2.96 grade point average during the Fall semester and had 15 players named to the A.D.’s honor roll. Red-shirt freshmen Justin Ellrich and Nick Faunce and freshman Kevin Bedford earned perfect 4.0 GPA’s.

“I’m really proud of our guys,” commented head coach Ritch Price. “Their performance in the classroom during the fall semester was phenomenal. A special congratulations to Kevin Bedford, Justin Ellrich and Nick Faunce for earning perfect 4.0 GPA’s.”

“On behalf of our coaches and players,” continued Price, “I’d like to personally thank Assistant Athletic Director and our Academic Counselor, Glenn Quick. Without his leadership and passion for his job we couldn’t have posted the best GPA in program history.”
