–Freshman LaChelda Jacobs matched a season-high with 18 points. Jacobs also scored 18 points against Xavier on Dec. 31, 2006.
–In her last three home games, Jacobs is averaging 10.6 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per game.
–Jacobs’ 18 points marked the fifth time this season that she has scored in double-figures in a game.
–Freshman Kelly Kohn tallied 14 points. It was her highest point total since scoring a career-high 23 against Northern Illinois on Dec. 29.
–Senior Sharita Smith added a season-high eight points off the bench. It was her best offensive performance since scoring 10 against Dartmouth on Dec. 18, 2004.
–Freshman Porscha Weddington’s four blocks and six rebounds set a career highs.
–KU shot 52.2 percent (12-of-23) from the field in the second half, marking the fourth time in the last six games that the team has shot better than 50 percent in the second half.
–Freshman Rebecca Feickert scored her first four points (all free throws) in a Kansas uniform.
–The Jayhawks shot 78.9 percent (15-for-19) from the free throw line, marking the fourth time in the last five games that they have shot 75 percent or better in a game.
–KU’s bench outscored Baylor’s 18-15. The Jayhawks also had seven steals to Baylor’s six.
–The game drew 3,043 fans, KU’s highest home attendance of the season.
