Certified Athletic Trainer Assistantship

POSITION: Intern- Certified Athletic Trainer

STARTING DATE: July 1, 2009

APPOINTMENT: 12 month; Post Grad Internship

SALARY: $1,200.00 per month plus health insurance

DUTIES: Responsible for the sports medicine needs of the student-athletes of the designated sport(s) as well as additional responsibilities assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine. Work closely with sport coaches, strength coaches, physicians and medical facilities concerning the student-athletes health and wellness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Undergraduate Degree in Athletic Training, Physical Education, Health or related field.• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with NATABOC• Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) with State of Kansas Board of Healing Arts or eligible.• CPR/AED certification

Preferred:

• Masters degree• Two (2) years experience at the collegiate level• Football experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer
