Kansas‘ loss to Kansas State…

–Drops Kansas to 10-4 to open the 2009-10 season.

–Moves the all-time series between KU and KSU to 58-41 in the Wildcats’ favor.

–Makes Kansas 81-128 in the Big 12 Conference action and 281-269 all-time versus Big 12 Conference schools.

–Drops Kansas head coach Bonnie Henrickson’s record at KU to 89-83 and her overall mark to 247-145.

–Makes Kansas 686-481 all time.

Notes

–The Jayhawks trailed 22-24 at half, making them 1-2 against opponents when trailing at halftime.

–Without sophomore forward Aishah Sutherland, the four Jayhawk starters finished a season-low 7-for-40 from the field.

–KU shot 0-for-11 from behind the arc. Its previous low this season was 3-for-10 against Xavier on Nov. 26.

–Sutherland had six of the team’s first eight points and finished with 12 points, marking the 11th game of the season and 17th game of her career to score 10 or more points.

–Senior guard Danielle McCray tallied 10 points and 12 rebounds, which is her third double-double this year and 20th of her career.

–Junior center Krysten Boogaard grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds. Her previous high was 10, most recently against New Mexico State on Jan. 3.

–Freshman forward Carolyn Davis blocked one shot, tying her career-high. She also recorded 12 minutes of playing time, marking the most minutes she’s played in a game this season. She previously played 11 versus UMKC on Dec. 11.
