Kansas Baseball Projected in NCAA Tournament, RPI Ranked 26th

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Baseball America recently listed the University of Kansas as one of 64 teams the bi-weekly magazine projects to make the NCAA Tournament field in its annual preseason guide. To get to the NCAA Tournament, the Jayhawks will have to play one of the toughest schedules in the country. KU’s RPI was ranked No. 26 in the country by SEbaseball.com.

Ten (Baylor, Clemson, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, San Diego, Southern Cal, Stanford, Texas and Wichita State) of KU’s 2006 opponents are included in the Baseball America NCAA Tournament field projection. Click here to download the Baseball America Preseason Guide in PDF.

The Jayhawks open spring practice on Saturday, Jan. 14. KU will open its season in Hawaii against Hawaii-Hilo on Feb. 1.
