Henry Added To East-West Shrine Game Roster

<?xml:namespace prefix=”st1″ ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags”?>LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas wide receiver Marcus Henry has been named to the East-West Shrine football game roster and will join Jayhawk teammates Brandon McAnderson and James McClinton on the West team.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

The game will take place at the University of Houston’s Robertson Stadium on Jan. 19 and will be televised on ESPN2 at 6 p.m.

Henry, a 6-4, 210-pound, Lawton, Okla. native, is coming off a great senior season at Kansas. Henry became the third Jayhawk to record 1,000 receiving yards in a season as pulled in 54 balls for 1,014 yards.

Henry opened the year with three straight 100-yard games and added two more later in the year, including a career-best game against OklahomaState. Against the Cowboys he had eight catches for 199 yards and three touchdowns.

Players will report to Houston on Jan. 12 and visit the Shriners Hospitals on the 13th. The teams will practice each day beginning Jan. 14.
