POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible after selection

APPOINTMENT: Full-time

DUTIES: Responsible for creating a soccer team that competes successfully at the national level both athletically and academically. Assist with overall supervision, organization, development and implementation of a nationally competitive women’s intercollegiate women’s soccer program, including recruitment, coaching, scouting opponents, home event management, coordinating team travel, camp coordination, compliance with NCAA, Big Twelve and institutional rules, and a commitment to academic development of student-athletes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree. Experience coaching women’s soccer teams (high school, college and/or semi-professional level). Proven leadership ability and organizational skills in soccer a priority. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as they apply to the area of recruiting and eligibility.

PREFERRED: Division 1 soccer playing experience. USSF and/or NSCAA coaching credentials.
