TEAM NOTES:
— In the first meeting between Kansas head coach Bill Self and Texas Tech’s first-year head coach Billy Gillispie since Gillispie’s Texas A&M squad defeated KU in Allen Fieldhouse on Nov. 3, 2007, before Kansas went on to win 69-straight home games.
— Kansas missed six of its first seven shots in the first half and went on to go 28-for-50 in the remainder of the game.
— Texas Tech ranks third in the Big 12 with a 48.4 shooting percentage, Kansas held them to a season-low 31.4 percent
— KU held TTU to 20 first-half points, tying a season-low for points in a half (at Oral Roberts, 12/22/11) and 46 total points is a new season low.
— After Texas Tech took an 18-17 lead at the 5:42 mark in the first half, Kansas finished the half on a 17-3 run.
— Kansas held the Red Raiders without a three-point basket until the 3:31 mark. The single trey tied a season-low for Texas Tech (1 vs. Oral Roberts)
— KU’s nine turnovers were the fewest surrendered since the season opener vs. Towson (5, 11/11/11)

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
— Junior F Thomas Robinson put up his Big 12-leading 11th double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
— Robinson hit the second three-pointer of his career at the 12:35 mark in the second half.
— Junior G Travis Releford led the Jayhawks in first-half scoring for the third-straight game and was the only player to have double-digits points in the first half.
— Junior C Jeff Withey posted the 12th game with multiple blocks this season (2)
— Freshman G Naadir Tharpe scored a career-high nine points using a career-best 3-of-3 performance from behind the arc.
— Senior G Conner Teahan connected on multiple threes for the ninth time this season.
