Jan. 14, 2011

LAWRENCE, Kan. — 2011 University of Kansas football season ticket packages will go on sale Tuesday, January 18, complete with a new pricing model, payment plans and seating options that offer several opportunities for fans.

The Family Plan, which includes two adult and two youth general admission season tickets, has been reduced from $499 to $450. In addition, fans ordering reserved seating will have the opportunity to save up to $50 per ticket.

Tier 1 season tickets will remain at $350. Fans ordering by February 11, however, will only pay $300 per ticket. If ordered by March 31, tickets will be $325. Beginning April 1 tickets will be $350.

Tier 2 season tickets are $299, but will be only $249 if ordered by February 11, $275 if ordered between February 12 and March 31, and $299 beginning April 1.

Tier 3 season tickets are $199, but will be just $149 if ordered by February 11, $175 if ordered between February 12 and March 31, and $199 beginning April 1. Sections 2 and 10 in Memorial Stadium are also now part of Tier 3 reserved seating, which allows fans more affordable seating options for season, single-game and group tickets.

The ticket renewal deadline is April 22. Williams Fund members must order by the renewal deadline to participate in select-a-seat. Williams Fund members can also elect to keep their 2010 seat location if they maintain their same pledge level and order by April 22.

Fans will also have the option to pay for their season tickets with two different payment plans. Along with reduced pricing, the earlier fans order their season tickets the more time they will have to pay for their tickets. Online (credit card) and paper (check) payment plans are available.

Kansas Athletics also announced half-season, single-game and group ticket prices. The popular Rock and Chalk half-season packages return in 2011 and are $150 each. The Rock includes the KansasState, McNeese St. and Texas Tech games, while the Chalk includes the Oklahoma, Baylor and Northern Illinois games. The Rock and Chalk packages will go on sale June 1.

Kansas Athletics will begin taking group-ticket reservations for all six home games on January 18. Group-ticket reservations can be made by emailing groupsalesku.edu or calling 800-34-HAWKS. Group-ticket packages provide many benefits, including significant discounts off the single-game ticket price.

Single-game ticket prices have also been reduced for the 2011 season. Tickets range from $30-$55 for McNeese St. and Northern Illinois, $45-$70 for Baylor and Texas Tech and $80-$85 for the Oklahoma and KansasState games. Fans can save $5 per single-game ticket when they order online prior to game-day. The discounted advanced sales price will conclude at noon on the Friday before the game.

Season ticket holders can purchase additional single-game tickets at any time. Single-game tickets will be available to Williams Fund Members on August 1 and K Club members August 8. The general public can purchase single-game tickets beginning August 15.

The best value to see the Jayhawks in 2011 remains a season ticket, with a price per game as low as $25. In addition, the best seat locations are reserved for season ticket holders. Single-game ticket locations will be based on availability; those seat locations will be assigned after all season, half-season and group orders are seated.

The Jayhawks open the six-game home schedule September 3 vs. McNeese St. Other home games are against Northern Illinois, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, KansasState and Baylor.
