Baseball, Softball Season Tickets On Sale

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Season tickets for the 2007 University of Kansas baseball and softball seasons are on sale now. Last season KU swept the Big 12 Conference tournament titles in both baseball and softball.

The KU baseball team begins its hunt for a fifth straight 30+ win season and a second Big 12 Championship on Feb. 1 in Hilo, Hawaii. The Jayhawks will make their first home appearance on Feb. 9 against South Dakota State. Head Coach Tracy Bunge and the Jayhawk softball squad look to continue last year’s Big 12 Championship success when they begin the season on Feb. 8 in San Diego, California. The Jayhawks will open the home portion of the 2007 schedule when they host the Jayhawk Classic, March 9 – 11.

Baseball season tickets are $150 for box seats, $70 for adult general admission, $35 for youth and senior general admission seats and $56 for faculty and staff general admission seats. KU will play 31 games at Hoglund Ballpark including 14 Big 12 contests. Home games include series against Oklahoma State, Texas, Nebraska and Baylor and single games against in-state rivals Wichita State and Kansas State.

Softball season tickets are $40 for adults and $20 for children and seniors and $32 for faculty and staff general admission seats. The package includes seventeen games contested over 13 home dates. The Jayhawks will welcome conference rivals Baylor, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Missouri, and Oklahoma to Arrocha Ballpark during the 2007 season.
