Lawrence, Kan. –

A record 236 student-athletes earned spots on the Athletics Director’s Honor Roll during the Fall 2006 semester, according to statistics released Monday by Kansas Athletics. To earn a place on the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must compile a 3.0 grade-point average for the semester.<?xml:namespace prefix=”o” ns=”urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office”?>

Eight teams earned 3.0 GPA’s or better, including women’s golf, whose 3.32 represented the highest team average for the semester. KU’s teams earned a combined 2.88 GPA, the third-highest ever at KU for a Fall semester.
