Kansas’ win at Colorado…

-Improves the Jayhawks to 13-4 on the season and 2-0 in Big 12 play.

-Gives KU its 12th straight win against Colorado and a 116-39 series advantage against the Buffs, including a 38-26 mark in games played in Boulder.

-Gives KU its first true road win of the season.

-Improves Bill Self to 155-36 while at KU, 362-141 overall and 11-0 against Colorado.

-Makes Kansas 1,956-789

Notes

-Kansas scored 25 points off 18 CU turnovers, the most since the team tallied 26 points against Jackson State (Dec. 6).

-The Jayhawks shot a season-high 61.4 percent from the field, while Colorado hit 37.2 percent. KU has now outshot 13 of 17 opponents this season and has shot 50.0 percent or better eight times. Eleven of KU’s 17 opponents this season have shot under 40.0 percent.

-KU also sank 9-of-17 from behind the three-point arc for a season-best 52.9 percent. The previous high was 50.0 against Coppin State (Nov. 28).

-For the third straight game and 13th time this season, Collins led the Jayhawks in scoring with 18 points. He is currently 17 points shy of reaching 1,000 points for his career.

-Collins hit all four of his free throw attempts against the Buffaloes and has now made 16 straight dating back to Michigan State on Jan. 10. Collins also hit 4-of-7 three-pointers, one shy of his personal best.

-Marcus Morris finished in double figure points for the sixth time in his young career scoring 10 against Colorado.

-For the third time in the last four games, Reed finished with 11 points, including 3-for-5 from the three-point line for his fifth outing with three or more treys. Reed scored all of his 11 points in the final 11 minutes of the contest.

-Brady Morningstar pulled down a career-best eight rebounds, passing his former personal high of seven (vs. Coppin State, Nov. 28).

-Cole Aldrich finished a perfect 6-for-6 from the field, his first perfect outing this season en route to scoring 15 points. He has now scored in double figures in every game so far this season. Aldrich also added 10 rebounds for his 10th double-double this year and fourth in the last five games.

-Mario Little made the second start of his career at Colorado.

-Colorado shot an impressive 82.6 percent from the free throw line, the highest free throw percentage of a KU opponent this season.

-Former Jayhawk Darnell Jackson, a member of the 2008 national championship team, was in the stands at Colorado cheering on KU. Jackson is a rookie with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
