Kansas Volleyball Announces Position and Skills Camps
Jan. 18, 2011
LAWRENCE, Kan. –
A variety of volleyball camps hosted by the University of Kansas volleyball team will be available during summer 2011 at the HorejsiFamilyAthleticsCenter, home of Jayhawk volleyball.
Camps begin July 6-9 in the first of two overnight skills camps being offered. The emphasis of the individual overnight skills camp is to teach and develop the fundamental techniques of volleyball, as well as game strategies. Basic skills are stressed in drills, while team play is incorporated to teach how all the fundamentals fit in the game. A second overnight camp is being offered July 24-27.
Single day position-specific clinics will also be available for signup. A hitter camp will be held July 22, while a defensive specialist and setter clinic will both be offered on July 23.
All camps are available to athletes entering grades 6-12 in Fall 2011. To register, please use the link at the top of this page or click on the 2011 Volleyball Camp button near the bottom of the Kansas volleyball website.
