Family Day in the Fieldhouse Sunday

Jan. 19, 2006

LAWRENCE, Kan. — When the University of Kansas women’s basketball team entertains the Oklahoma State Cowgirls on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Allen Fieldhouse, a wide variety of promotions are in place including Family Day. For $30, a family of four receives four tickets, four drinks and four hot dogs.

At the door, all fans will receive a Jayhawk toy, compliments of Jack Ellena Honda. Also, Lawrence Memorial Hospital will conduct a program to raise awareness about child seat safety.

In addition to action on the court, halftime entertainment will be provided by “Quick Change,” one of the most original and astonishing magic acts ever seen. During a nonstop-choreographed dance exhibition, Quick Change amazes audiences with staggering, flashing costume transformations, which happen in fractions of a second.

The Jayhawks enter the game against OSU with an overall record of 12-3 including a 1-3 mark in the Big 12. KU is going for its 13th win, which would be its most since the 1999-2000 season. To purchase your tickets call 800-34-HAWKS or log on to
