LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Despite a career-high 19 points from senior Shaquina Mosley, the University of Kansas (6-12, 0-5) fell to Iowa State (15-4, 3-3), 75-48, Saturday night at Allen Fieldhouse.

Mosley, who’s previous career best was 12, drained a career-high four three pointers on the night for the Jayhawks.

Despite committing just 13 turnovers, Kansas struggled shooting, finishing the game at 27.9 percent from the field. The Cyclones, on the other hand, shot 56.3 percent while outrebounding KU 42-28.

KU appeared to regain momentum following a half-court three-pointer from Mosley at the first-half buzzer and a 5-0 run to begin the second frame, but Iowa State regained control, eventually pushing its lead to as many as 27.

The Jayhawks got nine points from freshman Danielle McCray, six points from freshman Porscha Weddington, and junior Taylor McIntosh and freshman Sade Morris each chipped in with four.

Iowa State was led by Toccara Moss, who scored 16 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out three assists.

Kansas will next be in action on Jan. 24 when it travels to Kansas State for the Sunflower Showdown. The game will tip at 7 p.m., and can be seen on Fox Sports Net.
