— KU now leads the overall series, 40-22, and Bonnie Henrickson moves to 3-4 in her career against IowaState.
— For the second consecutive game the starting lineup of Shaq Mosley, Sharita Smith, Kelly Kohn, Taylor McIntosh and Porscha Weddington was used for the Jayhawks.
— Shaq Mosley set a career-high in points in the first half with 13. She finished with 19 points. Mosley also set a career-high in three pointers with four.
— The Jayhawks went on a 13-2 run over a three-minute span from the :52 mark of the first half to the 18:09 mark of the second stanza. The run was highlighted by Shaq Mosley’s halfcourt shot as the first half buzzer sounded.
— Freshman Porscha Weddington tied a career-high in rebounds with seven, while fellow freshman Rebecca Feickert recorded her first career rebound. She finished with three.
— The Jayhawks’ 13 turnovers were their lowest turnover total in conference play and their lowest this season since their opening game against Seton Hall.
— This was the largest margin of defeat for the Jayhawks at home in Big 12 conference play since Jan 12, 2005 when IowaState defeated Kansas, 70-37.
— Shaq Mosley led the team in scoring, snapping the seven-game streak of a freshman leading the team in scoring.
