Former KU Football Player Norris To Speak At Hillcrest Elementary

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Current National Football League player and former Kansas standout Moran Norris will speak to students at Hillcrest Elementary School Friday at 2 p.m.

Norris lettered at Kansas from 1997-2000. He played in the 2000 Senior Bowl and was drafted in the fourth round by the New Orleans Saints in 2001. He played with New Orleans, Houston, San Francisco and Detroit in the NFL. Last year he was with the 49ers and started 11 of 16 games at fullback.

At Kansas Norris was a two-time All-Big 12 Third-Team selection. He recorded two 100-yard rushing games in his junior year, rushing for 106 vs. Missouri and 118 vs. Oklahoma State in 1999.

Norris was a team captain as a senior in 2000. While at KU he was very active in community service programs and represented KU at the NCAA Leadership Conference.
