… Improved the Jayhawks to 16-3 on the season and 6-0 in the Big 12 for the third time in the Bill Self era and for the sixth time in the 16-year history of the Big 12.
… Extended KU’s road win streak to seven games, dating back to last season
… Moved the all-time series between Kansas and Texas Tech to 19-7 in favor of KU, including an 11-5 mark as members of the Big 12 Conference
… Gives KU a 4-0 record in true road games this season
… Marks Kansas’ second-straight win against Texas

TEAM NOTES:
— Marked the second time KU has knocked off a Big 12 opponent that was previously undefeated at home (Oklahoma, 1/7)
— KU held Texas scoreless for 6:53 while building a 22-7 first-half lead.
— Kansas made 10 of its first 15 shots, and went on to finish 25-for-56
— In six Big 12 games, Kansas has shot 60 percent or better in a half in four of those games (at Oklahoma – 2nd; at Texas Tech – 2nd; vs. Baylor – 1st; at Texas – 1st)
— Kansas led for the entirety of the game until the 5:36 mark in the second half.
— Texas outrebounded Kansas 42-35, marking only the third time in 19 games the Jayhawks were outdone on the boards this season.
— The Jayhawks’ six turnovers are the second-fewest this season (5 vs. Towson, 11/11/11) and marks the fewest committed in Big 12 play.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
— Junior C Jeff Withey posted the 14th game – sixth-straight – with multiple blocks this season (2), his 58 blocks on the season moved him into 13th all-time at KU, one behind Richard Suttle for 12th all-time.
— Senior G Tyshawn Taylor was the only player on the floor to score in double figures in the first half (12). He finished with 22 points, his third-straight 20-point game and the eighth of his career
— Taylor and junior F Thomas Robinson missed just one shot apiece in the first half and finished a combined 15-for-29 for the game.
— Junior G Elijah Johnson hit his team-leading 32nd three-pointer of the season in the first 20 seconds of the game and now has at least one three in all but two games this season.
— Withey hit a career-high eight free throws (8-of-9).
