Noyes Signs Professional Contract Overseas

LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Former Kansas volleyball player Savannah Noyes will continue her playing career competing professionally in Slovakia this spring.

Noyes, who played for the Jayhawks from 2005-08, recently signed a contract with the Bratislava club team in Bratislava, Slovakia. She will compete with the team for the remainder of its season, which lasts until May.

An Indianola, Neb., native, Noyes is one of two Americans on the team joining Quincy Verdin, who played at Long Beach State. Rese McNatt, formerly from Missouri State, is also a member of the team. Bratislava is the same club team that former Kansas volleyball player Emily Brown played for during Spring 2008.

Noyes wrapped up her four-year volleyball career at KU ranked in the three top 10 career lists including solo blocks (ninth—54), sets played (fourth—434) and hitting percentage (fifth– .251).
