Football In February Events Scheduled

Kansas Athletics and Head Football Coach Turner Gill will host two special Football in February events to showcase KU’s 2010 football recruiting class and give fans an opportunity to meet their new head coach.
On National Signing Day, Wednesday, February 3, fans can gather at the new Oread Hotel (12th Street between Indiana and Louisiana Streets) adjacent to the KU campus.
The following evening, Thursday, February 4, fans can meet Gill and preview the 2010 Jayhawks at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center.
Both events are free and open to the public and will run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Each night will include complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cash bar. Gill will address the crowd, meet and mingle with fans and show highlights of the incoming Jayhawks.
Legendary Jayhawks Gale Sayers and John Hadl will also be on hand both nights to meet with fans.
Similar events and opportunities to meet Gill in Topeka and Wichita will be scheduled in the near future.
