Jan. 30, 2007

Lawrence, Kan. — Kansas Athletics has released an Online Priority Points Special for individuals who purchase 2007 football season tickets online between Wednesday, January 31 and Friday, February 16.

For every season ticket purchased online during that time, fans will receive 10 permanent points to their Williams Educational Fund account (instead of the usual five) with no limit to the number of points fans can earn (normal limit is 20). Each Family Plan will also receive 10 permanent points (instead of the usual five). Fans can purchase their season tickets online at www.kuathletics.com.

For the first time in school history, the Jayhawks will play eight home games, which includes one (vs. Missouri) in Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium.

Public season tickets are $275. Faculty-staff season tickets are $220 and recent graduate packages (2005-07 graduation date) are $200. Family-Zone season packages are also available for just $350. The Family-Zone, located in the North Bowl, includes two adult and two youth general admission tickets.

All season-ticket packages include the Border Showdown game against Missouri at Arrowhead Stadium. KU and MU will split the seats at Arrowhead; KU season-ticket holders will receive first priority for KU’s seats.

Six of Kansas’ 2007 opponents played in bowl games last season, including Central Michigan (Motor City Bowl), Texas A&M (Holiday Bowl), Nebraska (Cotton Bowl), Oklahoma State (Independence Bowl), Missouri (Sun Bowl) and Kansas State (Texas Bowl).

Kansas opens the season with four non-conference home games – Central Michigan (Sept. 1), Southeast Louisiana (Sept. 8), Toledo (Sept. 15) and Florida International (Sept. 22). The Jayhawks will host Big 12 opponent Baylor October 13. Other conference home games include Nebraska (Nov. 3), Iowa State (Nov. 17) and Missouri (Nov. 25).

The Jayhawks travel to Kansas State (Oct. 6), Colorado (Oct. 20), Texas A&M (Oct. 27) and Oklahoma State (Nov. 10) in 2007.

As in past years, season tickets remain the best value for Jayhawk Football fans. Single-game tickets for all non-conference games are $35 each. The Baylor and Iowa State games are $45 each. Nebraska tickets are $75 each, while Missouri tickets range from $35 to $65 each. Single-game tickets will be on sale to the general public on Wednesday, August 1. However, season-ticket holders can purchase additional single-game tickets prior to August 1, including the Nebraska game at a reduced rate.
