Gary Woodland Earns First Made Cut of his PGA Tour career

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Former Jayhawk Gary Woodland recorded the first made cut of his PGA Tour career this past weekend at the FBR Open at the TPC Scottsdale Course in Phoenix, Ariz.

Woodland finished the tournament at two-over par to tie for 60th place. After missing the cut in his first two starts of the year, Woodland fired 70 and 71 in the first two rounds to make the FBR cut.

Woodland, who is known for his long-driving ability, is currently ranked third on tour in driving distance at 314 yards per drive. Woodland also ranks 28th in birdie average per round with a 4.80 birdies per round average.

Woodland will next be in action Feb. 5-8 at the Buick Invitational at Torrey Pines Golf Club in San Diego, Calif.
