LAWRENCE, Kan. –

Since graduating from The University of Kansas in May 2008, four year volleyball standout Emily Brown has remained active in the volleyball circuit and recently signed on to play professionally in Slovakia.

Brown played for the Jayhawks from 2004-07 and left the program as the only player in KU volleyball history to amass 1,000 kills, digs and assists for her career. She also finished in the top 10 on five career lists, including kills (5th–1,168), total attempts (5th–3,048), games played (5th–430), digs (7th–1,034) and assists (9th–1,107).

The Baldwin, Kan., native left for Europe on Jan. 8 and was quickly signed by the Doprastav Volejbal Klub out of Bratislava, Slovakia. She will play there for the remainder of the season, which lasts until May.
