LAWRENCE, Kan. – The public celebration for the 2007 University of Kansas football team has been moved to Saturday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Allen Fieldhouse. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = “urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office” />

The date of the recognition was changed to accommodate Kansas players’ participation in the NFL Combine.

“We originally thought that we could schedule around our players’ commitments at the combine,” said KU Associate Athletics Director Jim Marchiony. “When we realized we couldn’t, we looked for another date to give those players the opportunity to attend the celebration.”

The event at Allen Fieldhouse is free to the public.

The 2007 Jayhawks set a school record with 12 wins, including a victory in the FedEx Orange Bowl.
