Diver Meghan Proehl Named to Big 12 Winter Good Works Team

LAWRENCE, Kan. –Sophomore diver Meghan Proehl was named to the Big 12 Winter Good Works Team, it was announced by the Big 12 Friday. For the second year in a row, the Big 12 has announced a fall, winter and spring Good Works Team to honor 12 student-athletes from Big 12 institutions for their academics, combined with their significant community service efforts.
Each Big 12 institution selected a nominee based upon their success in each area. Proehl, a San Diego, Calif., native recorded a 4.0 GPA in the classroom this past fall, while volunteering with both Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Habitat for Humanity.
“I’m proud of all of Meghan’s efforts, both in and out of the pool,” Kansas diving coach Eric Elliott said. “I’m proud of how well she’s doing in all parts of life. She’s a great representative for the team and for the University.”
