Feb. 8, 2012
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women’s golf kicks off the spring season at the UCF Challenge in Orlando, Florida at the Redtail Golf Club Feb. 12-14. The event, hosted by Central Florida, was rated amongst the top 15 spring tournaments by Golf Digest in 2011 and will consist of a 16-team field.
“We are excited to start the spring season this week,” head coach Erin O’Neil said. “UCF’s tournament has a solid field and the course will be a good test for us. This is our first time playing in this event so it will be imperative that we learn as much as possible in the practice round so that we are prepared during the tournament.”
