KU’S LAST OUTING

A layup with 0.4 seconds remaining in regulation by senior Shaquina Mosley lifted the University of Kansas over the University of Texas, 50-49, Saturday in Austin, Texas.

Trailing by one, Kansas called its’ final timeout with 13-seconds remaining. Mosley had a jump shot blocked out of bounds, forcing the officials to look at the TV monitor to see if any time was remaining on the clock. After review, KU was awarded 0.4 seconds.

Head Coach Bonnie Henrickson inserted Ivana Catic into the game for the first time to in-bound the ball. The sophomore found Mosley wide open under the basket for the game-winning layup as time expired.

Freshman Kelly Kohn led the Jayhawks with 17 points. Fellow freshman Danielle McCray scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for her first career double-double.
