Jayhawks to Open Spring Season in Florida

LAWRENCE, Kan. — After nearly four months since its last tournament, Kansas women’s golf returns to action February 16-17 at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla. The 15-team tournament, hosted by Michigan State, is being held at the par-72, 6,099 yard River Wilderness Country Club.

The Jayhawks played in five tournaments last fall, recording top-five finishes at the Sunflower Invitational and Johnie Imes Invitational. Junior Emily Powers led the team with a 75.07 scoring average in 15 rounds to go along with three top-10 individual finishes.

Teams will play 36 holes on Monday, Feb. 16th and conclude the tournament with 18 holes the following day.

The tournament features six teams currently ranked in the Golfweek Top-25.
