Notes

–The Jayhawks shot 8-of-8 in the second half and 10-of-12 for the game (83.3 percent). KU has shot 80 percent or better from the charity stripe in four games this season.

–Kansas outscored Iowa State’s bench 22-4.

–KU scored 34 points in the paint to ISU’s 14.

–Iowa State’s 59 points are the fewest allowed by Kansas in conference play this season and the fewest allowed since KU played Temple on Jan. 2, 2010.

–The Jayhawks’ 27 three-point attempts are the most since playing Baylor on Jan. 25, 2005.

–Junior guard Tyrel Reed’s free throws at 12:39 fueled a 14-0 run en route to a 21-3 run that ended at the 7:38 mark with an Iowa State free throw by Craig Brackins.

–Junior center Cole Aldrich blocked three shots, giving him a total of 93 this season and putting him in third place for all-time single-season blocks. Greg Ostertag (1994) tops the list with 97 and Aldrich (2009) is second with 94.

–Freshman guard Xavier Henry moved into a sixth place tie in KU freshmen three-point field goals with 48.

–Henry led the team in scoring with 16 points. This marks the seventh time Henry has led the team this season, but the first time since KU played Temple on January 2.

–Marcus Morris recorded his fourth double-double of the season and sixth of his career, while Aldrich recorded the 11th of the season and 33rd of his career. The only other time the duo has recorded a double-double together was versus Kansas State on Jan. 30, 2010.

–Reed grabbed a season-high four rebounds. His previous high was three, five times, the most recent being at Colorado on Feb. 3 of this year.
