Boonraksasat Leads KU Women's Golf into First Place After First Round

VICTORIA, Texas—Freshman Thanuttra Boonraksasat is in second place over all and the Kansas women’s golf team is in first place after the first round of the Claud Jacobs Intercollegiate in Victoria, Texas on Sunday.
Boonraksasat’s first round 74 is three strokes behind the leader, Kamryn Ruffin of Tulsa, and puts her one stroke ahead of fellow Jayhawks Meghna Bal and Grace Thiry.
Katy Nugent is tied for 13th with a 77 in the first 18 holes and Meghan Potee is tied for 21st at 79 strokes.
Competing as an individual, Jennifer Clark is tied for 35th with an 81 in the first round.
Kansas will complete round two on Sunday and the final round Monday.
