The Jayhawks jumped out to an early 8-0 lead, but let it slip late in the first half behind an Oklahoma State run to go into the break tied at 23. With the game locked up at 39 with 11:06 remaining in the game, the Jayhawks began a 16-7 run of their own that sealed the victory for KU.

Chalmers, who was named this week’s Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the Week on Monday morning, also filled up the stat sheet with seven assists and three steals. Freshman Brandon Rush scored 12 points on the evening and was one rebound shy of his fourth double-double of the season.

Both teams struggled from behind the three-point line, but KU was able to convert a greater percentage of their overall field goals to aid them in the victory.

Next on the slate for the Jayhawks is a match up with Border Showdown Rival Missouri on Saturday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. and will be televised on CBS.
