16 Kansas Swimmers and Divers Named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Sixteen Kansas swimmers and divers were named to the Academic All-Big 12 team announced by the Big 12 Conference Tuesday. The Kansas and Missouri squads had the most representation on the team with 16 swimmers and divers each.
Kansas’ 16 swimmers were divided with 14 first team members and two second team members. First team recipients recorded GPAs of 3.20 and higher, while second team members received a GPA falling between a 3.00 and 3.19.
Among the Jayhawk representation was sophomore Jessica Brozek who recorded a perfect 4.00 mark during the fall 2006 semester. Brozek was one of two Academic All-Big 12 Team members to record the perfect mark, the second being Brittany Lentz of Texas A&M.
