Football Schedule Set; Coach's Corner Deadline Extended

Feb. 14, 2012

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas Athletics has announced a final extension for the popular Coach’s Corner tickets for the 2012 football season. The $99 season ticket package for KU’s six home games is now available through March 19 or until sections 1 and 2 are sold out, whichever comes first. Fans are encouraged to order early as a limited number are available.

“We know that many of our fans were waiting for the release of our Big 12 schedule,” KU Athletics Director Sheahon Zenger said, “so we wanted to give them an opportunity to take advantage of this great offer. We’re very excited about our home schedule and the interest in our football program right now.”

The popular ticket plan was expanded earlier in the year after Kansas fans purchased over 1,500 tickets in less than three weeks. Active Williams Fund donors will receive one point per Coach’s Corner ticket and there are no handling fees. Coach’s Corner seat locations are not part of the select-a-seat process. A Kansas Athletics representative will contact all Coach’s Corner ticket holders regarding seat locations.

Other reserved ticket packages still have an order deadline of April 20 to participate in select-a-seat. Reserved Tier 1 tickets are $300 and Tier 2 tickets are $250. Active members of the Williams Education Fund will receive six priority points per Tier 1 or Tier 2 season ticket ordered by April 20, with no limit on the number of tickets ordered.

Reserved Tier 3 tickets are $199, and active members of the Williams Education Fund will receive six points per ticket (maximum of four tickets). Any additional Tier 3 tickets will receive one point per ticket.

The first 12 tickets in each individual’s order (Tiers 1, 2 and 3) will be assigned according to the priority point system. Tickets in excess of 12 will be assigned after all Williams Fund members’ seats have been assigned.

Kansas Athletics is also offering the Family Plan package in sections 12-16. The new family plan price is just $350, and includes two adult and two youth general admission season tickets. The family plan has been the most popular ticket package for Jayhawk fans over the last several years.
