Jayhawks Set to Take on Louisville

LAWRENCE, Kan. — The University of Kansas tennis team will look to continue its impressive start when it visits Louisville on Saturday, Feb. 18. The match is slated to start at 10 a.m.

Louisville, ranked 74th in the nation, is 9-1 this season, including six shutouts over its opponents.

After opening the season with a loss to Indiana, the Jayhawks have reeled off three straight convincing victories, most recently a 6-1 win over Utah. Sophomore Elizaveta Avdeeva improved to 4-0 in singles play after defeating the Utes’ Emily Kwok, 6-1, 6-2.

Saturday’s contest is the first of three straight road matches for KU. Following its date with the Cardinals, Kansas will travel to Arkansas on Feb. 25 and then to Tulsa on the 26th.
