LAWRENCE, Kan. –

A new Flex Plan option highlights the 2009 University of Kansas Baseball season ticket package, which was announced Monday by Kansas Athletics.

The Kansas Baseball Flex Pack allows fans the flexibility to choose any five games to attend for only $30.

Other season-ticket packages include Box Seats ($150), General Admission ($70), KU faculty and staff ($56) and the Kansas Baseball Family Plan ($199), which includes two adult and two youth general admission tickets.

The Jayhawks home slate consists of 27 games, including 14 against Big 12 Conference opponents. Highlights of the schedule include games against No. 4 Texas, No. 8 Baylor, Kansas State, Nebraska and Oklahoma State, as well as non-conference foe Wichita State.

Members of the Williams Educational Fund who purchase season tickets will receive two (2) priority points per account regardless of the number of tickets purchased.

“This will be another exciting season,” Head Coach Ritch Price said. “We have a solid core of returning players and brought in the best recruiting class in my time at Kansas.”

KU will play its home opener Tuesday, March 3, against the University of North Dakota at 3 p.m. Fans will receive free Caramel corn when KU scores its first run of the season.

Season tickets may be purchased in person at the Allen Fieldhouse Ticket Office, by phone at (800) 34-HAWKS or online at kuathletics.com. Single game ticket sales will begin the first week of home games.

The Jayhawks open the 2009 season at the Service Academy Classic in Millington, Tenn. Fans can listen to audio from all four games of the tournament on kuathletics.com.
