KU's Rebeka Stowe Named to Cross Country All-Academic Team

Kansas Junior Rebeka Stowe received academic honors by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Wednesday. The KU runner was one of 99 athletes to be named to the USTFCCCA’s All-Academic team.

Stowe, a native of Olathe, Kan., has a 3.66 GPA in Health and Physical Education. She has also earned a spot on the Big 12 All-Academic team following the 2009 and 2010 cross country seasons.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have either earned USTFCCCA All-America status or finished in the NCAA region’s top 15 (or top 10 percent) in 2010.

The women’s cross country team was also named as one of the USTFCCCA Division I Cross Country All-Academic Teams. The KU women were one of 192 teams to earn All-Academic status, collectively receiving a 3.22 GPA in the Fall semester.
