Kansas hosts Oklahoma Wednesday, Feb. 21 in its final home game of the season. The Jayhawks and Sooners will tip-off at 7 p.m. Following the game, Kansas will honor seniors Shaquina Mosley and Sharita Smith. The contest will air tape delay on Metro Sports Thursday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m.

NOTING KANSAS

Oklahoma enters Wednesday’s contest in a three-way tie for first place in the Big 12 … The Sooners are led by sophomore center Courtney Paris … After a dominating freshman campaign where Paris was named a consensus All-American, she became the first player to collect 700 points, 500 rebounds and 100 blocks last season … This year, Paris is leading the Big 12 in scoring (23.1), rebounding (15.8) and blocked shots (84) … Paris’ twin sister Ashley starts and averages 7.0 points per contest … Junior Britney Brown leads OU in assists (81) … Freshman center Abi Olajuwon is the daughter of NBA great Hakeem Olajuwon … The Sooners have an eight-game winning streak against the Jayhawks … OU head coach Sherri Coale was selected the unanimous Big 12 Coach of the Year last season, after guiding the Sooners to a perfect 16-0 conference record.

KU’S LAST OUTING

Danielle McCray scored a career-high 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while senior Shaquina Mosley chipped in a 21-point, 14-rebound effort Sunday as the Kansas knocked off Kansas State, 82-74, in double overtime at Allen Fieldhouse.

KU outscored K-State 12-4 during the second five-minute period. Trailing 71-70, the Jayhawks scored the next 12 points, including a pair of three-pointers and a free throw by McCray. McCray was 6-for-7 from beyond the three-point arc.

Mosley sent the game into a second overtime with a running lay-up with under six seconds left in the first extra session. Mosley just missed her first career triple-double, scoring 21 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing out nine assists. She also added three blocked shots.

KU also got 16 points from freshman Kelly Kohn and 13 from freshman Sade Morris. Junior Taylor McIntosh added four points and 10 rebounds.

NEXT UP

Kansas will complete the regular season with two consecutive road games beginning Saturday, Feb. 24 against Colorado in Boulder. Tip-off between the Jayhawks and Buffaloes is set for 8 p.m. central. Kansas will conclude the regular season against Missouri Thursday, Feb. 1. KU-MU will tip at 6:30 p.m.
