LAWRENCE, Kan. –

The No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners (21-4, 11-3) defeated Kansas (9-18, 3-11), 76-70, Wednesday night at Allen Fieldhouse. In their final appearance at the Fieldhouse, senior Shaquina Mosley led KU with 20 points and five rebounds while senior Sharita Smith scored nine and added five rebounds.

The game was a very close affair, featuring 21 lead changes and eight ties. Oklahoma took a 37-35 lead into halftime behind 64-percent shooting (16-25), but KU forced 11 turnovers which it converted into 13 points. For the game, the Sooners turned the ball over 16 times, resulting in 17 Kansas points.

Mosley was 8-of-18 from the field in the game, including 2-of-4 from three-point range. She scored 15 in the first half to keep the game close. Smith added three assists and two steals in 22 minutes of action. The two were honored following the game by head coach Bonnie Henrickson and received a framed jersey.

Freshmen Kelly Kohn and Sade Morris were the second and third leading scorers for Kansas, finishing with 16 and 13 points, respectively. Kohn knocked down three three-pointers and dished out two assists while playing the entire 40 minutes. Morris came off the bench to connect on 9-of-12 free-throw attempts and added two steals in 19 minutes of action.

Courtney Paris led the Sooners with 32 points and 13 rebounds, while her sister Ashley added 16 points and nine rebounds.

Kansas takes to the road for its next tilt, venturing to Boulder, Colo., to square off against the Colorado Buffaloes. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m.
