Women's Basketball Guard Marisha Brown Suspended Indefinitely

Feb. 21, 2011

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas women’s basketball coach Bonnie Henrickson announced Monday that she has suspended senior guard Marisha Brown indefinitely for violating team rules.

“Marisha will remain a member of our team and continue to practice until she is reinstated for competition, however, we are very disappointed in her,” said Henrickson.

Brown has started seven of 18 games for Kansas (17-9, 4-8 Big 12) this season and is averaging 4.0 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest. The Kansas City, Mo., native missed eight games earlier this season with a broken foot.

Kansas travels to Oklahoma State (15-10, 3-9) Wednesday, with tip off scheduled for 7 p.m., at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
