KU Women's Golf in Seventh After Two Rounds at Chrysler Challenge

The University of Kansas women’s golf team currently sits in seventh place after the second round shooting 651 (323-328) Sunday at the Chrysler Challenge.

Host school Florida State continues to hold the top spot in the 10-team field with a score of 601 (303-298), followed by North Carolina in second place with 621 (314-307) at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort (par-71, 6,095 yards).

Freshman Camilla Svensson shot 83 for a two-round score of 160 (77-83) and is tied for 23rd place, and senior Amanda Costner shot 84 for a two-round score of 163 (79-84) to tie for 30th place.

Freshman Emily Powers is tied for 39th place after shooting 85 in the second round for a combined score of 166 (81-85). Junior Annie Giangrosso (86-81) and freshman Meghan Gockel (87-80) both are tied for 44th place with a two-round score of 167.

Florida State’s Caroline Westrup holds the top spot individually shooting 147 (74-73) after two rounds.

The final round is slated for a shotgun start Monday, Feb. 26, at 7 a.m. CST.
