Women's Golf 14th At "Mo"Morial

COLLEGE STATION, Texas –

The University of Kansas women’s golf team is currently in 14th place, in a 15-team field, after the first two rounds of the Texas A&M “Mo”Morial Invitational in College Station, Texas. The Jayhawks shot a 338 first round score followed by a 325 at the 6,226-yard, par-72, Traditions Golf Course.

“We are still knocking a little rust off from the winter time,” head coach Erin O’Neil said. “Tomorrow we will go out on the course and try to post better scores.”

Texas A&M is in first place at with a 618, followed by SMU who posted a 627.

Sophomore Amanda Costner shot a two round score of 162 to place in a tie for 41st. Junior Chelsey Pryor is tied for 52nd after two rounds with a score of 166. Sophomore Jill Womble totaled a 169 to place in a tie for 61st. Junior Tiffany Woods is in a tie for 65th after a two round score of 172. Junior Meredith Winkelmann is currently tied for 67th as she shot a two round total of 173.

The Jayhawks will start final round play on Tuesday with tee times set to begin at 8:30 a.m.
