Jayhawks Place Fourth At All-American Intercollegiate

HOUSTON, Texas –

The University of Kansas men’s golf team finished in fourth place, in a 13-team field, at the All-American Intercollegiate in Houston, Texas. Kansas shot a final round of 294 for a three day total of 877 at the par-72 Cypresswood Golf Club.

“Gary played a solid tournament and I am happy to see that,” head coach Ross Randall said. “I can see some light at the end of the tunnel for this team, so we just need to keep progressing.”

Houston finished in first after posting a score of 853, followed by Colorado with a 866.

Junior Gary Woodland finished fourth after a final round of 71 for a 212 total. Senior Pete Krsnich, who tied for 17th, shot a final round of 74 for a 212 total. Senior Luke Trammell tied for 20th after a 75 for a 221 total. Junior Barrett Martens tied for 29th after a 74 for a 224 total. Freshman Zach Pederson shot a final round 79 to tie for 50th after totaling a 231. Senior Jason Sigler, playing as an individual, finished 69th after a final round 78 gave him a 239 total.

The Jayhawks will next be in action at the 2006 Ron Moore Classic on March 20-21 in Goodyear, Ariz.
