Softball Announces Promotional Schedule

LAWRENCE, Kan. –
Kansas Athletics announced Tuesday the 2007 Softball Home Game Promotional Schedule. Highlighting this season’s 13 home dates at Arrocha Ballpark include Bark In the Park, Alumni Day and Grow Your Own Bat Day. Giveaways available to Jayhawk fans include adidas water bottles, KU light switch covers and trees.
KU opens its home schedule March 9-11 with the 2007 Jayhawk Invitational. Participating in the three-day event at Arrocha Ballpark will be Drake, North Dakota State and New Mexico.
Season tickets are on sale now. Adult season tickets are $40, youth and senior citizen tickets are $20, and University of Kansas faculty and staff tickets are $32. To purchase your season tickets call the KU Ticket Office at 800-34-HAWKS or click here.

-Senior Citizen Day: $3 Admission for senior citizens.

-Bark in the Park: Fans will be allowed to bring their dogs to the ballpark. The price of admission for each dog is a donation to the Lawrence Humane Society. Watch for details on kuathletics.com.

-Senior Day – recognition of 2007 seniors Kassie Humphreys and Nicole Washburn
-Grow Your Own Bat Day: Fans will receive a free tree in celebration of Arbor Day. -Youth Clinic Day — Following the game the team will host a youth clinic. Kids 12 and under will be invited to participate in a 30-45 minute series of stations manned by the team.
*Biggest Group Day – Saturdays
-Members of KU students groups may sign in at the marketing table near the entrance. The group with the most members present for each game will receive a reward. The group with the most members present all season long will win a prize from Kansas Athletics.
*Family Day – Sundays
-Every Sunday is Family Day at Arrocha Ballpark. The Family Day tickets package includes two adult tickets and two youth tickets for $12. While supplies last Kids Scorecards will be distributed to kids 12 and under. After the game, kids will be allowed to run the bases; players will be available for autographs.
